About Course

This introductory course provides practical and foundational knowledge by introducing key topics, methodologies, and their basic applications. Each lesson offers learners enough insights to understand the importance of the topic and identify where to seek further information. For those seeking a deeper dive, this course serves as a condensed version of the comprehensive “Financial Literacy” courses available in the curriculum.

We often assume that everyone has some financial or basic numerical knowledge. We also presume that everyone can manage their own expectations and mental well-being. However, considering pressure of family and friends, the impact of social media, and the potential for both information overload and scarcity, not everyone can withstand the stress associated with FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) or FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt).

In the absence of financial education, we might find it challenging to handle significant financial burdens like student debt, family commitments, high interest rates, or potential scams. The ideal education should be impactful, easily accessible, and designed to cater to our individual needs and situations.   United Nations states in their Financial Inclusion document, that “many people, especially women, still lack access to financial services, as well as financial literacy, which is a key for Social Inclusion. Financial access means access to a full suite of financial services, provided with quality, for everyone who can use financial services, thereby leading to an increase financial capability.”

It is my hope that not only young individuals, but also those currently facing challenges, learn about financial planning with the Financial Literacy courses. Early education and ongoing support can equip everybody to maintain a healthy balance in their finances, fulfilling their dreams, and establishing savings, be it from their 30s or at any stage of life, to adeptly navigate life’s complexities.

Un curso muy informativo, mientras lo he estado haciendo he ido planteandome muchos de sus puntos, he visto como aplicarlos, y como puedo aplicarlos tanto en mi vida personal como profesional
I find this course very eye-opening. It breaks the ice by introducing topics that most of the people don't dear to talk about.
This course is as valuable to those that consider themselves "literate" in financial matters as it serves as a confirmation of understanding, as it is to those taking their first steps in gaining a better understanding.
Clear, concise and easily digestible.
The finance basics course was incredibly insightful, providing clear and concise explanations of fundamental concepts that are essential for anyone looking to understand financial principles. The material was well-structured and easy to follow, making complex topics accessible to learners at all levels. Practical examples and exercises helped bridge theory and real-world application, enhancing comprehension and retention. The instructors were knowledgeable and engaging, ensuring a dynamic and enriching learning experience. Overall, it’s a highly useful course that offers tremendous value for anyone interested in mastering the essentials of finance.
Another great course that reminds me of some money basics I often take for granted. This is ideal for those seeking some entry level knowledge, or a very much needed refresher for those who are lost in a daily routine.
